Naive folk art figure of Frida Kahlo fashioned in clay by Guillermina, of the famous Aguilar sisters, from Oaxaca. Directly inspired by Frida Kahlo's famous self-portrait "Me and My Parrots", 1941. The four parrots are taken from Hindu philosophy where they serve as the bears of the love god Kama. Frida is wearing one of the many native costumes for which she was well known.
Signed on the back by the artist, Guillermina Aguilar.
