Hand loomed 100% wool tepate rug in the "Monte Alban" pattern produced by hand in the village of Teotitlan, Oaxaca by Margarita Sosa Vasquez. Natural wools are dyed using cochanilla (a bug that grows on cactus) to produce the red background and leaves, roots and herbs to produce the greens, golds and browns in the detailed elements. This rug is really deep and rich looking. Wool rugs are very durable and are perfect in high volume areas or make beautiful wall hangings. Dry Clean.
