Hand loomed 100% wool tepate rug in the "Sunrise" pattern produced by hand in the village of Teotitlan, Oaxaca by Gaspar Chavez. Gaspar is a young man experimenting with the traditional dying process and his own unique designs. The natural wools in this rug are hand dyed using herbs and cochanilla (a bug that grows on cactus) to produce the the golds and the reds. This is a contemporary design but works wonderfully with any decor. It also makes an incredible wall hanging. Wool rugs are very durable and work well in high traffic areas. Dry Clean.
